Ken & Thao were visiting Vancouver from California back in November. Ken got in touch with me a few weeks before visiting and explained his elaborate plan to pop the question on Thao. He asked if I was interested in photographing the entire thing and of course I said yes. Luckily for me my girlfriend was also in town so Thao never suspected us when we were both waiting to be the first ones in at Capilano Suspension bridge in North Vancouver (they won’t open up early for special requests). I believe it was one of the places they had visited a few years back when they both visited Vancouver. All went as planned and both myself, my girlfriend, Ken, and Thao were all the first ones to arrive at the bridge in the morning. Thao was very surprised when Ken proposed on the bridge. Myself, I was nervous what might have happened if that ring fell through the cracks. We definitely got lucky that day as it didn’t rain and was overcast.
I think Ken was explaining how he had to tell the airport attendant that Thao didn’t know about the ring in his pocket.
