John got in touch with me about a surprise engagement in Vancouver a few weeks before visiting from the US. He was visiting with his girlfriend and family and were making their way up the Pacific North West. After exchanging a few emails we decided on Stanley Park as they both like the outdoors and nature. The best part of these surprise sessions is how the actual photos get taken (I think I made note of this before). John really wanted to get to the park early to avoid any crowds. After trying to reassure him several times that there wouldn’t be anybody at 6:30am except for the odd runner around the seawall he was still adamant about doing it at this time. That was fine by me as we were going to get first light! I don’t think he expected the park to be pretty much empty that day, it was pretty funny to see his expression when we met up. I pretended to be a tourist and captured a few photos of the two together before he got on his knees and proposed. Needless to say, Jacqueline was quite surprised! I could feel their love for each other as we continued with the rest of the session. The two couldn’t get their hands off each other. Thanks for letting me take part on your special day John and Jacqueline!
